Outdoor Education

Beltsville Adventist School boasts an all-new school garden providing students with hands-on learning experiences in nature.

The school garden provides a vibrant outdoor classroom where students grow vegetables, flowers and herbs while learning about science, nutrition, and sustainability. More than just a garden, it is a place where lessons come to life-integrating math, reading, art, and Bible study into real-world experiences.

Outdoor education offers a break from conventional classroom settings and allows students to learn kinesthetically and intuitively – through hard work and exploration.

And the students aren’t the only ones! BAS families have been involved at every stage of founding the garden and will have continued opportunities to help it thrive. Together, we are cultivating a space where students can learn, grow, and connect with God’s creation.
