BAS has an open admissions policy.

To submit an application to BAS, click here to Create an Account..

When an application is received for a grade that has an opening, you will be contacted and informed that we will begin processing your application. This process includes a tour of BAS, meeting with the principal and teacher and checking references. If it is determined that BAS is a good fit for the potential student and family; arrangements for entrance testing will be made. If you are transferring from a private school, BAS will need to check for financial clearance prior to starting the admissions process.

If a completed application is received for a grade that is full, you will be informed of the situation and the application will be kept on file until an opening becomes available.

Applications for potential Kindergarteners are taken beginning July 1 of the year prior to the student starting school. Students must be 5 years of age by September 1 of the year they begin. Kindergarten applications are not taken more than one year in advance.

How to Apply

We encourage families to apply online as it simplifies submission and provides parents the ability to track the status of their child’s application. To begin the Online Application process, Create an Account. Upon account creation, you will receive an email containing a verification link. Once your email address has been verified, log in to your account and Create A New Student Application for your child. You will then have the flexibility to log in and out of your account and access your open application.

After submitting the application, you will be able to track your admissions status at the school by logging in to your account. In addition, you will be able to print the completed application and monitor when the school receives any applicable supplemental forms.

We appreciate your interest and hope to assist you any way we can. If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at 301-937-2933.
