Dress Code

The Dress Code serves several purposes. It helps create an atmosphere of orderliness, reduces distractions in the educational process, teaches a sense of modesty, and makes BAS students identifiable on and off campus.

The following is the appropriate uniform selections for BAS students.

  • If a sweater, sweatshirt, or fleece is worn indoors and over a BAS polo, it must be a BAS logo item.
  • Pants

  • K-5 - No uniform pants required, but all pants should fit modestly. No leggings or stretch pants are permitted.
  • 6-8 - Uniform pants are required in navy or khaki worn with a black, brown, or navy, woven or solid belt.
  • Shorts

  • K-5 - Shorts are permissible, but must fit modestly.
  • 6-8 - Uniform shorts that are knee length and fit loosely in the legs are permissible in navy or khaki.
  • The above list only relates to the uniform requirements. Please refer to the School Handbook, page 7, for the complete guide.
